This week’s post is dedicated to my father who has written a dedication to his wife . . .
Triumphantly Resting in Peace

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life, he who believes in me will live, even though he dies, and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? – John 11:25, 26 (NIV)
The flower’s name is a rose, with the distinct color of red,
while the grave marker identifies, “the one lying below the ground is dead.”
Lillie M. Jones, left behind the kind of life worth living –
inspiring others through unselfish giving;
not for earthly wealth or fame,
but expanding God’s Kingdom through Jesus’ name.
In the Celestial Heaven, where the Redeemed of the Lord eternally cry;
“If you believe in Jesus you will live on even though you die!”
From December 8, 1942 until October 27, 2015,
the transition from life into eternal life etched a name (once earth bound)
but a triumphant spirit lifted into “the arms of Jesus where peace is only to be found.”
Now, as I see the kind of flowers you loved as one of a kind,
yet the grave marker is a comfort and reminder too –
that Jesus Christ is one (for the living) to find.
Whispering so softly, I hear you say,
“Frederick, even though you don’t see me and ever so often sad (as you go from day to day),
take heart to remember that I’m spiritually with you especially when you pray.
Tears from your eyes may flow, but cling to Him as you grow stronger in faith because it is something that can’t be beat.
I’m in the presence of our Lord and Savior whom death could not defeat.
Because He lived, died, and resurrected, I understand now how Jesus was able to confer this triumphant of peace;
this spiritual life on those who believe.
Beloved, I see Him!
Never wallow in pity,
but continue to aim for the city.
At God’s plan, one day you and I will meet and for the first ten thousand years reminisce while taking delight,
how all of us in Heaven came to know how peace came while death took flight.”
-Tribute to my devoted and loving wife, Dr. Lillie M. Jones, who now resides in Heaven with God-in-Jesus Christ.
To echo Rick,
Perfect tribute, Pop.
In love and charity,

So true of the most perfect rose I have ever seen or known. Rev. Dr. Lillie Madison Jones. Live you always.
